Poster Contest Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed into law on July 26, 1990. The Federal law requires equal opportunities to employment, state and local government programs and services, goods and services of businesses, transportation and telecommunications. In the years since the signing of the ADA opportunities and access for people with disabilities have improved around the country.
Theme: How the ADA has Changed the Face of Your Community
1st Prize: $300 Gift Card
2nd Prize: $200 Gift Card
3rd Prize: $100 Gift Card
Due: January 15, 2010
Poster Contest Rules:
- Posters may range is size from 8.5”x 11” to 18” x 24”
- Posters can be done vertically or horizontally.
- Poster must be related to theme of the contest.
- Any medium (crayons, markers, etc.) may be used on the poster.
- Pictures or other flat materials may be mounted to posters, if mounted securely.
- Posters cannot be 3-dimensional.
- All ages are welcome to participate.
- Be aware of copyright protection. Posters must be original work.
- Each submission MUST contain the following information on the back of the poster: Name, Address, Phone Number, E-mail, Hometown, and Name of Local Newspaper
